Clothing produced by fast fashion brands is on average composed of 60% synthetic fibres which end up as plastic waste in oceans and in landfill.
Only 15% of clothing gets recycled and textile waste now accounts for a massive 5% of landfill space globally.
And it’s not just physical waste that’s the problem; the UN estimates that the clothing industry accounts for 10% of global greenhouse gas emissions.
At object we're trying to do our bit to help out - our cutting edge packaging is made from up to 50% recycled cotton from the clothing industry.
